I believe I can touch the sky
I am seriously running through the open door… I am so excited about this journey that I am going to take in some while… I had been planning for this since the 2007, the minute I saw this question popping up on my screen while I was working as a new joinee in a company. And now it’s 2015 and I can’t believe I achieved it within such a short span of time. Yippee!!!!! :)
I made all the necessary requirements/arrangements for this journey. Packed some good/warm clothes (do I really need it?! I do not know). Underwent some high profile training related to the journey. Of course I needed one ! You won’t believe since I made my mind that I will be travelling like this I have taken myself seriously and I did some gym-ing and took into yoga and all the fitness stuff… I am so proud of myself. All my hard work has paid off..
I believe I can fly I believe I can touch the sky
That’s correct… I believe I can touch the sky. I wonder how earth will look from the outer space. Oh yes! I am going to the moon. There are many people on moon already as one civilization. No distinction between Asians, Americans, Japanese etc. all are one on moon as one whole big family. :) right now I am on a Mobile Launcher -- sitting inside the space shuttle, some nautical miles in the Atlantic. I am so excited about the whole journey.
I open my bag where I had taken all the things mentioned in the letter for me. I open the bag and to my horror I realized I did not get lucky toothbrush -- which has pictures of all kinds of animals and that I forgot for my journey…??!!?? :( Sh**…
Cannot believe I left it at my home… now what am I going to do? I am doomed… I am doomed… I am doomed… I am doomed… I am doomed… I started wondering what should I do now? Aaahhhhhhhaaahhhhhh……. Started shouting loud in my head… My lucky toothbrush is not with me. W-h-a-t w-i-l-l I d-o ? ? ? ?
I was just wondering what to do then all of sudden; I hear my manager’s voice “have you completed the task assigned to you??”
Then I realized I was day-dreaming and it’s still 2007 – in my cubicle… trying to open my work center…!!! :)

They say ...
I came across such a lovely sweet poem.... Read on ~~~
They Say...
They say I've wasted endless years
to remain by your side.
They lack the heart to understand
how true love will abide?
They say I'm not the one you love,
your choices tell it all,
they base beliefs on what they know,
on stars that rise and fall.
They say I've thrown my life away
on love they deem unfit,
But love does not seek its own
They don’t know the soul if it!
They say I'm nothing but a fool,
I'm living a lie.
It doesn't matter what they say
For I'll love you till I die!

How do you succeed when everything is changing?
In my last blog, I had mentioned that the only thing that is permanent in this world is change. This blog of mine talks little more about the changing world and some of the easy ways to adapt to these changes.
The world is changing. The developing country of ours is turning into the developed one. There are many opportunities as well as the competitions are also on its peak. The people around us are not the same.
People will do anything to get to the top. People will do anything to secure their future.
We should adapt ourselves such that we need to succeed when almost everything is changing. I came across this thought while I was browsing through some technical journal. The title just struck me and I thought I should blog about it.
I am trying to list down few things which I feel is necessary to succeed when everything is changing (few hints I got from internet – of course! And thank all the people who have talked about it on the internet – and few are my own experience ;-))
- Be an enthu in what ever you do. Someone has rightly said “enthusiasm is the wondrous engine of life”. (http://ezinearticles.com/?Nine-Characterisitics-of-An-Enthusiastic-Person&id=154291 à this is good link which talks about enthusiasm).
Discover your talents and be happy with what ever you have. - Follow your dream.
- Think positive and look for happiness/opportunities in what you do.
Be open to challenges. A cousin of mine had given me this gyaan when I had asked him “there are so many new technologies so many new domains and so many things to do, what if one day the company we work in asks us to leave where to go after that (I literally feel sad about it – trust me this so common now-a-days), he had told me we should adapt ourselves to the changes: right now we are in the IT industry, if we have to learn biotechnology one day we need to do it with a zeal”. - Think/dream big.
- Don’t worry much about the people who change; don’t bother about them. Sometimes there are only a few people in this world who will be with us. The rest are just there to mock us, to put us down. So need not worry much about them.
- Set your goals in life.
- Remember:- “every cloud has a silver lining”, “hold on, better fate awaits thee”
After you get up every morning tell to yourself “I’m going to succeed in any hurdle which comes in front of me”. - A strong desire to achieve that day’s goal, to be happy will win 3/4th of the battle.
- Think about success and you will definitely succeed.
- My parents always say this – toughen your strengths more rather than looking for your weaknesses.
- Try and fail, but don’t fail to try.
- Last but not the least, believe in yourself. That’s one of the foremost and most vital of all the things mentioned.
Of course, I do not say life is easy. But then life is also not that difficult that one cannot make his/her way out.
With that I would like to conclude my blog with a thank you note to all the people (includes my parents, my close pals and everyone close to my heart) who have helped me to be where I am. Still I have a long journey to go, I know, but by these words in mind, I think, it would be little easier to run the race of life.

"Being-new-to-the-company" syndrome
That was a good life. The technology I always wanted to work on. The work environment I always wanted. And etc etc etc.
But once I finished my internship, I had to move on. I did not get placed there. I was disheartened, saddened, dejected and everything that I have no words to describe. That’s the problem with human beings. We get used to somethings or some one so much that we forget to move on. We feel that’s the end of our life. End of the world and end of everything. But Charles M Schulz (American Cartoonist) rightly says "Don’t worry about the world coming to an end today. Its already tomorrow in Australia".
Then within a week I got placed in the company which sits on the 1st position in the ERP domain. The day I joined, I was happy at one time and sad at the other. I used to look back at my past and long for being in the previous company. I started comparing the good of the previous company and the bad with this one. (Looking back at my early days in this present company, i feel so ashamed of myself). Never mind that. I used to feel bad, sad and almost everything that I need to do something to get back to previous company. We humans have one more problem, as rightly said by Helen Keller (American Author and Educator) - "When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us".
That’s what happened. I never paid attention to the trainings/seminars and sessions I was put into. I used to call everyone on their cell phones and crib about the past. Crib about what I never got. Crib about the present where I am.
Then what happened is a miracle. I STARTED TO LIKE THE PRESENT COMPANY. The colleagues. The environment. The food and almost everything. I even started liking the journey between my home and the office. With this I would like to quote "the only thing that is permanent in this world is CHANGE". Now, I am a happy person with what I have.
I have started to appreciate the changes coming my way. I have started to see the opportunities coming my way. To be frank, I even dint want to go back to the previous company. I feel great now and happy and satisfied.
I think this is what called as "being-new-to-the-company" syndrome that everyone goes through. This is also a permanent in this world along with CHANGE. :) Now I have learnt to move on with a smile... :)

Deepavali: festival of lights, happiness and fun
This is the one festival I just love in India. The festival brings in the happiness, joy and togetherness.
This festival has no bounds – all categories of people – rich & poor – people of all religions celebrate this festival with immense happiness and zest.
Deepavali – deepa means light and avali means row... Basically what we (all most all Indians – no matter in India or abroad) do - light earthen diyas (lamps) in and around our homes/offices.
The homes of – rich or poor – just looks like the newly wed bride (nayi naveli dulhan) – so beautiful, so charming...
We exchange sweets, burst crackers (now many don’t as some are becoming environmentalists :)), buy new clothes, and give gifts to the loved ones. For me what Deepavali means – lights, color, happiness, smiles all around :) .
There is always a legend (s) behind any festival in India. There are several legends behind Deepavali too…
The most famous legend associated with the Deepavali is the return of Lord Ram to Ayodhya. Lord Ram was sent to exile by his stepmother for 14 years in the jungle. His wife Sita and younger brother Lakshman also accompanied him. In the jungle, Ravan – king of Lanka - kidnapped Sita. Lord Ram with the help of God Hanuman and monkey king Sugvir killed Ravan and rescued Sita. After killing Ravan and completing his period of exile, Lord Ram returned to Ayodhya and to celebrate his comeback the people of Ayodhya decorated their houses, exchanged sweets and ignited firecrackers. Since that day Diwali came to be celebrated in order to commemorate the coming back of Lord Ram.
According to another legend associated with the Deepavali, on this particular Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity incarnated. She incarnated due to the churning of the ocean, which came to be known as the incident of 'Samundra Manthan', by the demons as well as the deities.
Another famous Deepavali story talks about the killing of demon Narkasura by Satyabhama with the support of Lord Krishna. Narkasura once defeated Lord Indra, the king of heaven and also snatched away the earrings of Mother Goddess Aditi, who was a relative of Satyabhama. On hearing this news Satyabhama got very furious and asked for Lord Krishna's help for killing the demon, who readily agreed. Thus deamon narkasura was killed. No matter what the legend but the festival of lights is celebrated with much enthusiasm and zeal in all over the country by people of all religions.
As beautifully said by the famous poet Rabindranath Tagore ~ "The night is black Kindle the lamp of LOVE With thy life and devotion."
Happy deepavali to one and all.... :-)

Life is how we see it..!!
I am not scared to grow up and I am not a pessimist but I do not understand why this is happening.. I can see and feel the things happening in the world but do not have any answers as to why it happens..
Almost everyone run away from major issues like poverty, global warming, inflation etc.. They are so involved in a rat-race that they forget their family and friends.. Why does this happen? People tell me-"to meet the needs of us and our family we need to be like this". Not that they do it on purpose but the scare in them that they may be left out makes them to do it over and over again..

Words of wisdom ..!
"If you want to know your past life,
look into your present condition;
if you want to know your future,
look into your present action.
It is not the wind that is moving;
it is not the flag that is moving;
it is mind that is moving.
There are no holy places and no holy people,
only holy moments, only moments of wisdom."
--anonymous
Each word from the above has so much of importance and so much of wisdom..
The present situation we are in, tells a lot about the past-what decisions we took so that we are here at present. We cannot change the past but what we can do is learn from the past and make better decisions to have a good future..
We should begin to live in each day.. Nobody cannot change the past. If we are positive, confident and brave in the decisions we take today then the future will be bright and better than today.
A Few years ago I had read-what ever we think, so we will be.
Each day we should learn more, laugh more and do what you truly love to do.
We need to tune the mind for good thoughts. These positive habits will definitely create results.
I am reading "The monk who sold his Ferrari" in which it says mind is like a garden in the backyard. And we need to stand guard at this garden so that no weeds grows in it.
This is one phrase from this book "The monk who sold his Ferrari", which I will always cherish "Life is no brief candle to me. It's a sort of splendid torch which I've got to hold up for the moment and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations."
Never expect a lot from the people who are close to your heart because its you who will feel bad in the long run. Instead, do what you love and that, for sure, will make you feel good.
"For what lies behind you and what lies in front of you matters little when compared to what lies within you" -- The monk who sold his Ferrari
